For the third and final young driver day in Jerez the BMW Sauber F1 Team had a rather more mature driver at the wheel! Bertrand Baguette from Belgium is the 2009 Formula Renault champion, and had already tested the French manufacturers F1 car last Tuesday at the same track. BMW have announced on Friday that they have reached an agreement with Peter Sauber regarding the sale of the BMW Sauber team. The contract is subject to the squad having a confirmed entry for the 2010 season and means that the planned sale to Qadbak Investment Ltd will not be completed.
The German car maker revealed in July that they would end their involvement in Formula One racing at the end of the year after four seasons in the sport. BMW purchased the team in 2005 from Sauber, who founded the outfit in 1993... More...

BMW has revealed that it sold its Formula 1 team back to former owner Peter Sauber on Thursday. As a deal with Swiss investments firm Qadbak was apparently not fully completed, the Sauber name should now begranted permission to re-enter the sport next year, providing all other teams agree. More...
